Dr Melissa Hickson is a UK-trained Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in paediatric imaging. She completed her BSc with First Class Honours and Distinction, followed by her medical training at St Bartholomew’s and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, graduating in 2009. She then completed her subspecialty training in radiology, and in 2016 she was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists.
She completed the one-year paediatric diagnostic fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. During her training she published research in peer-reviewed journals and presented at several prestigious conferences at both national and international levels. She was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist in 2018.
She is skilled in the interpretation of all paediatric modalities, and regularly delivers undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at her local hospital.
