Stool Sample Testing

Stools (or faeces) can sometimes provide valuable information about a child’s health particularly if there are concerns about the gastrointestinal tract (stomach and intestines). Stool sample testing is often requested if one of the following conditions is suspected:

  • Food allergy
  • Infection
  • Digestive problems causing diarrhoea or constipation
  • Bleeding inside the gastrointestinal system

If a stool sample test is deemed necessary for your child, we can arrange for a test kit to be sent to your home. This contains everything that’s needed to collect the specimen and instructions on how this can be sent onwards to our lab. We will contact you with the results as soon as they are available.

Our private paediatric outpatient clinic is located at Charlwood, West Sussex, making us easily accessible to treat children near Crawley, Worthing, Chichester, Waterlooville, Havant, Portsmouth, Brighton, Dorking, Surrey, London and all nearby areas.
