According to data from www.coeliac.org.uk, Coeliac Disease affects around one in 100 children in the UK, although the majority of children are undiagnosed and it isn’t until later in life that they are diagnosed with the condition.

What are the common symptoms?
In undiagnosed cases of coeliac disease, there is a risk of further complications being suffered. These include:
A gluten free diet can help ease the symptoms. However, it is extremely important that you do not remove gluten from a child’s diet until after they have been diagnosed with coeliac disease by a healthcare professional.
Please feel free to contact us regarding the treatment for coeliac disease in children available at Paediatric Diagnostics, and we will be happy to see your child at the earliest opportunity.
